Team competition:

Also, back by popular demand is the Team portion of the championships.

Partners are determined by placing the lower handicap player with a higher handicap player.

The player’s individual points will be accumulated together to determine a total team point total.

The team with the most accumulated points is the winner of the Team competition

Stableford Points are as follows:

·Net Double Bogey is one point
·Net Bogey is two points
·Net Par is three points
·Net birdie is four points
·Net eagle is five points

·Net double eagle is six points

Coaches/scorers will only need to record the player’s gross score on the card.

All tournament scores will be entered into the GC tournament scoring system and will calculate all points accurately based on your handicaps.

The score cards will indicate your maximum allowable strokes before you are not rewarded a point.  At this time the player can pick up and the scorer can place an “X” in for that hole.  This process will speed up play and save the player a little frustration.

NOTE FOR BGC members:  All tournament scores including sable ford events, your scores will be entered into the GC Handicap scoring centre for handicap purposes.  In the event a player has a hole with an “X”, the maximum allowable score for that hotel will be entered.  The GC Handicap system factors in equitable stroke control, which means if you have a score entered for a hole over your allowable maximum, it will change the score for you.  So, the system accounts for your maximum strokes per hole, which allows for Stableford scores to be entered and accounted for for handicap management.

Designated Tees:

·Tees-MEN- White Tees 5741 yards
·Tees LADIES -Red Tees 5217 yards

·Tees SENIORS Red Tees 5217 yards

NOTE: These may change subject to BGC Board discussions this fall/winter

More info to follow, but we hope you will place these dates on your calendar and join us in 2023 at the AMI Western Canadian Championships at the beautiful Legends Golf Club.
